Fill the rest of the container up with baby oil or vegetable oil. You can use a funnel to help reduce spillage. Try and fill the container as full as possible, reducing the amount of airspace that will be left after you screw on the lid or cap. 3. Optional: drop a pony bead into the container. 4. Screw the cap or lid tightly! 5. To make a wave tilt and gently shake your ocean in a bottle! Watch the wave action in your “ocean." If you dropped a bead in, what do you see happening? OCEAN IN A BAG STEPS: 1. Scoop sand into the bottom of the Ziplock bag – just enough to cover the bottom of the bag. 2. Next, squeeze about a bottle of clear hair gel into the baggie. 3. Squirt in a few drops of blue food coloring. 4. Add the toy fish and/or shells into the bag. 5. Seal the bag. To be safe, add a strip of tape to seal the bag even more. 6. Once your bag is sealed, squish the bag gently, especially to mix up the food color and gel. 7. Now you have a cool Ocean in a Bag to explore!
