“…Rather, we wanted to present ourselves as a model for you, so that you might imitate us.”
– 2 THESSALONIANS 3:9
Most people who live a grateful and generous lifestyle don’t go around bragging about it. But through their actions and words, others do take notice. They notice because of the joy and peace that results and other people desire this in their own life. Know that the way you live your life may be the only interaction others have with our Catholic faith.
Learn how you can support your parish and contact The Catholic Foundation. Vis-it www.catholic-foundation.org/develop-ment for more information.

FAITH FORMATION
AROUND OUR PARISH
Saturday, November 2nd, was our annual First Reconciliation Retreat!
We had 28 families in attendance. The adults went through the “Forgiven” program with discussion, and had the opportunity for Reconciliation themselves. The children went to stations involving learning about Reconciliation, while having fun doing it. They came together for family crafts and Adoration. It was amazing to see the Holy Spirit was at work! A special thank-you to the Women of St. Francis and all the volunteers who made the day possible! Please pray for our students as they prepare for their First Reconciliation on December 4, during the Parish Advent Reconciliation Service. Blessings to all!
– Diana Baus & Diane Roddy

Pints with Padre: Young Adult DiscipleshipCelebrate Friendsgiving!
Pints with Padre is a growing community of young adults who are looking to grow as disciples of Christ in our homes, our work, and our city. Join us Saturday, November 23rd, after the 5p Mass to share a meal, have fun, and grow together in faith. Meet at the Rectory; the group may travel off-site to gather. Encountering Christ Together: Our Annual Offertory Drive is underway. If you didn’t pick up your packet from the back of the church, it is on its way by mail. An offertory commitment form is part of the Treasure Report so please use it to declare your commitment. We want to invite everyone to look through the pages of the Treasure Report as you consider before the Lord how God is calling you to financially support the mission of our parish in the coming year. Through your giving, you can be the person God provides to bring about a life-changing encounter with our Lord. If you have any questions, please call Maggie Wright, OFS, Director of Accounting and Development, at 740-345-8708, ext. 204.
Volunteer Appreciation PartyA Volunteer Appreciation Evening will be on Saturday, November 23rd, 6-9p; in recognition of all our hardworking parents, parishioners, disciples and disciple makers. You are invited to an evening of celebration of all you do to make this an amazing parish and school. Please join us and let our staff serve YOU! We’ll have heavy appetizers, desserts, beverages, and a DJ, games and more! Please RSVP by November 20 by stopping by or calling the parish office.

AROUND OUR PARISH CONTINUED..
Psalm 41:1-2How blessed is he who considers the helpless; The Lord will deliver him in a day of trouble. The Lord will protect him and keep him alive, And he shall be called blessed upon the earth
And do not give him over to the desire of his enemies.
Thanks be to God for your generous contributions at our collection, nearly $3,100. We are seeing an uptake in energy bills and requests for clothing. The Lord is blessing our volunteers as they spend a few hours in service to the less of us. If you know someone who needs help this Thanksgiving with food or needs help for Christmas for their children, please let me know......God Bless You!

A note about our Bulletin to St. Francis parishioners: As you can see, we are making changes to our weekly church bulletins and we hope you like our new look! We thank you for the compliments we are receiving and want to let you know this is a team effort with Vicki Pressey, Angel Schneider and Dee Printing working together with our various ministries.
We have also heard a couple of concerns that we would like to address. First, our bulletin is printed at no cost to the Parish; our advertisers cover all expenses. We thank them and encourage you to support their businesses. Secondly, the new paper is recyclable. All unused bulletins are collected on Friday afternoon, counted to keep control of the number printed each week, and then the excess is recycled.
Please know that your concern and comments are welcome; just stop by the Parish office. Enjoy our Bulletin!

Respect Life Annual Collection: The Respect Life Group wishes to extend a grateful “thank-you” to all for your generous donations, totaling $1,172. This will allow us to continue our projects in fulfilling our primary mission of spreading the truth about life in all its stages from conception to natural death. To all those who held baskets, we are especially thankful; without your help this effort would not have been possible. Please keep praying for babies to be saved and for mothers and families to love their children with the heart of Christ. Pray also for the leaders of our country and our world that their hearts and the hearts of all people will be changed to value and protect life from the smallest pre-born baby to the oldest senior. Only with God’s help will this happen.
PORTERS NEEDED: Did you know there are currently individuals who serve as porter in our Parish by unlocking the church before Mass or locking up after Mass? We currently have only one person for each time slot, but would like to have at least one more for each shift and to serve as an alternate if needed. If you enjoy arriving early at Mass to pray or staying after Mass to visit with friends, we hope you will prayerfully consider helping with this important task. The training and time commitment are extremely minimal. Could you make yourself available to fill one of the time slots in the schedule below?
Unlock the church before Mass: Saturday 5p – Sunday 8a – Sunday 5pLock the church after Mass: Saturday 5p – Sunday 10:45 – Sunday 5p
Please contact Jacque Annarino at [email protected] or Earl Henry at [email protected] if you can help with this important ministry.

The service is sung by choirs of many denominations and finds its home in the English collegiate and cathedral traditions. If you did not attend last year, please consider making this service part of your preparation for Christmas – it can be a welcome moment of prayerful rest in the busy weeks of Advent.
