Focus on your clue/situation
We cheated and highlighted specific information that relates to your situation(trust us, the districts won’t do this for you!)
Be creative and have fun!!
Sketchy Situation #1Your Speaker Request Form does not provide clear information on the type of information to be conveyed in the general session. What steps might you take to make sure your speech is meaningful and productive?
Clue: You are asked to arrive early, what might you consider with the extra time you have?
Sketchy Situation #2You are in contact with the district governor who laments that convention registration is down. What can you do to help? Clue: Actually, when you review the Speaker Request Form it appears that registration was down last year too and the event could be better managed and more exciting. What tool might you suggest to help the district host an exciting and well managed convention? Extra Clue: Consider going to www.lionsclubs.org
Sketchy Situation #3You know that the district leadership is interested in increasing membership, what are some options to consider? Clue: You notice you may have additional time since you are requested to arrive on Friday for a Sunday presentation, what options might you consider?
Sketchy Situation #4You are going to a district that seems to have a problem with repeating club officers and district leaders. What might you do to encourage new people to seek higher positions? Clue: You notice you may have additional time since you are requested to arrive on Friday for a Sunday presentation, what options might you consider?
Sketchy Situation #5The district would like you to host a special meeting with club presidents but does not specify a topic, time or place. What steps would you take to identify topics that would be helpful to the group? Clue: Unfortunately, the district governor is not aware of the latest information or tools. What might you suggest as possible topics to help club presidents?
Sketchy Situation #6
Clue: In reviewing the Club Health Assessment, you notice that a number of clubs have made substantial donations to LCIF. What might you consider doing during your visitation?
