The hope of our Homeland
The Makarovs’ family I want to tell you
about Makarov Sergey who is a pupil of the eighth form in my school. He is the pride of our school, our town and even of our region. Sergey is grown in a sports family.
His father has been fond of weight lifting and basketballsince childhood. And his mother went in for light athletics andhad very good results.
The children got the love to sports from their parents. There are three children in the family: Vladimir, Sergey and Masha. Vladimir is already a grown up. Junior children go in for sambo under the management of the experienced coach Stakheev I.R. Nearly every local newspaper «The new life» has notes about Sergey’s and Masha’s victories.
The last Sergey’s victories in all – Russian competitions:I. The second place in Suzdal region
championship.II. The second place in the championship of
Lenin region of Vladimir.III. The third place in the tenth all – Russian
tournament in Vladimir.IV. The first place in the all – Russian tournament
«The Pearl of Russia» in Gorokhovets.V. The third place in the championship of the
central federal district in Bryansk.
All – Russian tournament «The Pearl of Russia» was arranged in our town, so we could see Sergey’s victory in a difficult battle.
The children in the Makarovs’ family are brought up according to the best traditions. They also attend the Sunday school of the Kazanskaya church. In the Makarovs’ family parents always find time for the spiritual and moral education of their children.
Our small homeland is rich in talented people. Sergey is one of them and we hope that he will please us with his numerous victories for many times. Who knows maybe sometime later he will be lucky to become Olympic champion.
