MAJOR COMPONENTS OF AUTOMOBILE: Engine or Power Plant: Produce power to move the vehicle. Transmission or Power Train: Carry power from the engine to the drive wheels. Suspension system: Absorbs the shock of the tires & wheels meeting bumbs & holes in the road. Steering System : Use to control the direction of the vehicle. Braking System: Use to stop or slow down. Electrical System: Provide electricity for cranking the engine, charging the battery, & powering the lights & other electrical equipments. Body: Provide enclosure or compartment for the engine, pasengers, & luggage or cargo. Clutch : Use to engage & disengage the engine from the transmission going to the drive wheels. Accelerator: Use to increase & dicrease engine operation. Shifter: Use to shift gear from one gear ratio to one another. How to start engine? 1. Check transmission if it is in neutral position. *Depress Clutch full in left foot. *Hold shifter in right hand *Move shifter left to right *Move shifter Up & down *Put shifter in Neutral position & release clutch 2. Insert key in ignition switch 3. Turn the key clockwise an let it start the engine and right foot slowly depress accelerator. 4. If the engine is already in operation(nag andar) automatically releas the key an accelerator. How to make the vehicle run? 1. Release hand brakes, depress clutch in the left foot. 2. Hold shifter in the right hand and move in 1 st gear position if the direction is going forward, but if it is going back put shifter in revers gear position. 3. Slowly depress accelerator and slowly release the clutch How to shift gear position? 1. Listen on the engine sound/ engine operation. *If engine sound is increasing, move shiter 1 step higher. *If engine sound is decreasing, move shifter 1 step lower.

How to start engine?

1. Release the accelerator & slowly depress the brake.*But if your speed is verry slow apply clutch & change gear if needed.

How to stop?1. Give signals 30m. Before stoping.2. Release accelerator’ slowly apply brake and dpress clutch fully.3. Put in neutral position.

How to park?1. Look for safety place & right place where you can park.2. Turn of key.3. Engage transmission in 1st gear position or reverse.4. Pull hand brakes
