Remuneration linked to structured products and derivatives traded over the counter

The remuneration offered by issuers within and outside the HSBC Group includes a distribution fee paid to HSBC Private Bank, which represents no more than 2.5% of the nominal issuance amount.

New business commission

HSBC Private Bank may introduce the client to a company of the HSBC Group, for the provision of investment services. In this case, HSBC Private Bank receives a commission which may be recurrent, representing 35 to 60% of the income earned by the Group company. When the client’s relationship with HSBC Private Bank is or has been initiated by a company belonging to the HSBC Group or a service provider or a company outside the HSBC Group, HSBC Private Bank will pay a commission which may be recurrent, of between 30 and 60% of the income acquired by HSBC Private Bank.

Service quality is extremely important for HSBC and forms the basis of its reputation in the banking world.

However, difficulties can arise with operating your account or using the services associated with it.

If you encounter difficulties using our services, please be sure to contact your usual account manager immediately.

He or she is the best person to provide additional information or to put the matter right for you as soon as possible.

If you do not receive a satisfactory reply within what you consider to be a reasonable time frame, please do not hesitate to contact our Customer Relations Department, which will handle your questions and provide a prompt response by finding the most appropriate solution with your private bank.

(1) TAT: This tax, called the Taxe sur les Acquisitions de Titres (or TAT – tax on share purchases) at the current rate of 0.2% of the financial transaction amount, is charged on any acquisition against payment of an equity security or similar security (listed for trading on a French or foreign regulated market) in a French company whose stock market capitalisation exceeds one billion euros at 1 January of the relevant tax year.For a list of the companies whose shares are subject to the TAT, please go to www.hsbcprivatebankfrance.com. You will be charged this new tax on the aforementioned transactions within the contractual time limits, whether they are performed directly by you or under a management contract.

(2) Fee charged upon receipt of the first alert in excess of the flat rate, regardless of the chosen alert device.
