THE BEND HOLIDAY PARK RULES AND REGULATIONSWelcome to BIG4 The Bend Holiday Park. We hope your stay with us will be an enjoyable one. To help make your stay and other visitors/residents stay more enjoyable we ask you to comply with the following guidelines.
VEHICLES The speed limit for any vehicle is walking pace only to a maximum of 10kmph. This is monitored at all times and boom gate access will be cancelled if breaches of the speed limit occur. Cars are only to be parked on designat-ed parking areas or sites, not on the roadway or communal areas. Pedestrians have right of way always. Only vehicles registered with the park office may enter the park.
RUBBISH Please help keep our park looking good by keeping your site /accommodation tidy. Please care for the environment by placing paper, cardboard, drink cans, bottles in the recycling bins provided at our recycling areas. Please wrap all household, fish offal, and disposable nappies and place in rubbish bins provided.
VISITORS Your visitors are your responsibility. Please ensure they adhere to the park rules. Visitors cars can be left in ad-jacent car parks and not brought into the park. Visitors staying overnight will be allowed at the discretion of park management and will be charged a nominal fee. Only visitors staying overnight and paying a fee are entitled to use shower or pool facilities. Other visitors are required to leave the park by 10pm.
CHILDREN Children’s behaviour and safety is always the responsibility of their parents/guardians. All children under 12 years must be accompanied by an adult when using park facilities. Persons under 18 years are not permitted to be alone on the park without a parent/guardian.
PETS Pets are not permitted in cabins.Pets are allowed, under strict control when using your own van/tent. Dogs must be kept on a leash always. Dogs must not be left unattended in the park. Dogs must not disturb other patrons. Owners are asked to clean up after their pets immediately. FAILURE TO COMPLY with these rules will result in eviction from the park.
BALL GAMES Please use common sense when ball games are involved. People do not like their property being constantly hit by balls of any kind. If wanting to kick or throw or bounce balls do so in an area where no other people will be disrupted by it. Balls are not to be used/ taken near or into any of the park facilities. These rules are to protect the park property and patrons.
SITES To ensure the comfort of everyone in the park we limit the number of persons on a site to 6. We allow one caravan and annex or one tent and vehicle. Extra Large sites will accommodate 10 people. The site must be kept clean always.
PROPERTY Guests staying at the park take full responsibility for any damage and/or breakages incurred during their stay. The park takes no responsibility for any lost or stolen items from accommodation or vehicles and suggests that guests securely lock their accommodation and/or motor vehicle when unoccupied.
CABINS Numbers accommodated in a cabin may not exceed the number of beds provided in the cabin. All cabins are non-smoking.
BIKES ETC Helmets must be worn when riding bicycles, skate boards, roller blades etc. All road rules apply in the park. For safety reasons bicycles, skate boards, scooters, roller blades etc must not be used after sunset. Children riding on the roads must be under parent supervision always.
EMERGENCIES All guests & residents are to make themselves fully aware of evacuation procedures in case of an emergency. For emergencies requiring attendance of ambulance, police or fire service please call 000 immediately, then contact management using the 24hr emergency number to assist the serviced called.
CAR/BOAT WASH
Car and boat washing is not permitted in the park.
CAMP FIRES AND FIRE REGULATIONS
Campfires are permitted (with Managers approval) Patrons must comply with all Total Fire Ban days and declared Fire Danger Season. Fires must not be used on any grassed areas in the parks and must be contained in enclosed braziers that sit on a bracket off of the ground. Containers for you Ash will be available for your ash to be disposed into. We will also have a communal fire pit that you can sit at and enjoy. For safety reasons, drawbars for vans must face the roadway.
COMPLIANCE In the interest of all guests, failure to comply with the park rules may result in eviction from the park. Management reserves the right to immediately withdraw permission to occupy any site or cabin, if any of the guidelines are breached.
BBQ’S Free BBQ’s and surrounding areas are available for all guests & their visitors. They must be cleaned after use, once cooled to a safe temperature. Please refrain from pouring liquids on them at any time.
CLOTHES LINES
Please do not erect temporary clotheslines. There are clotheslines near the laundry facilities.
CAMP KITCHEN
Please remove all rubbish and leave kitchen in clean condition after use. Please make sure all dishes are washed. Management take no responsibility for any items of food or equipment that are left or stored in the camp kitchen area. Please turn appliances off after use.
PAYMENT All payments for accommodation and or site fees are payable in advance. Sorry, if you leave early, you will not be entitled to a refund. Cancellation terms and conditions apply to all reservations.
ALCOHOL SMOKING DRUGS
This park has a non-smoking policy in all areas which includes camp kitchen, BBQ area, playgrounds and ame-nities block. Smokers are asked to respect other guests when smoking. The consumption of alcohol or smoking by minors is strictly prohibited. Management maintains a zero tolerance toward illegal substances. Any persons who uses, sells or is in possession of illegal drugs or substances will be directed to leave the park immediately.
CHECK IN AND CHECK OUT
12 noon check-ins for Sites and 2pm check-in for cabins. Strictly 10am check-out for all cabins and sites unless prior arrangement is made with Park Office.
CONDUCT Noise levels are to be kept at a minimum always. Please restrain from using any type of loud or offensive behaviour. Excessive noise, rowdy parties or the like will not be tolerated under any circumstances. Please make no noise between 10pm and 8am. If you have any problems with the conduct of other guests, please contact the office immediately. To ensure the safety of all please report any unusual activity or circumstances to reception immediately. Excess alcohol consumption, property damage, illegal activities or threatening behaviour will result in police attendance. Management reserves the right to immediately withdraw permission to occupy any site or cabin, if any of these guidelines are breached.
