Definition

“Magnetic water treatment does not change the chemistry of the water but It alters the structure and property of liquid water”

Page 4: Magnetic Water Treatment .Haripriya Radhakrishnan

Principle

“Magneto hydrodynamics”

O Lorentz force is exerted on water ions

O The redirection of the particles increases the

frequency of collisions between ions of opposite

sides

O Combining to form a mineral precipitate or

insoluble compound

Page 5: Magnetic Water Treatment .Haripriya Radhakrishnan

Magnetic water treatment technology

O A water molecule consists of one oxygen and two

hydrogen atoms

O They form clusters with other water molecules

O Clusters come in many sizes depends on water

molecules involved

Page 6: Magnetic Water Treatment .Haripriya Radhakrishnan

Cont.….

O Restructures the water molecules into very

small water molecule clusters,

O Each made up of six symmetrically organized

molecules.

O Cluster is recognized by the cell as "bio-

friendly"

Page 7: Magnetic Water Treatment .Haripriya Radhakrishnan
Page 8: Magnetic Water Treatment .Haripriya Radhakrishnan

Devices

O Two magnetic rods symmetrically oriented along the

axis of feed pipe

O Pole pieces at the end of each permanent magnet

focused the magnetic field

O Magnetic induction in the range of 3.5–136mT

Page 9: Magnetic Water Treatment .Haripriya Radhakrishnan

Cont…O Water flow direction should be from North

magnetic pole to South magnetic pole

O The magnets should be installed on the pipe

between the main valve and the irrigation pipe.

O The mounting plate serves to increase the

magnetic field present inside the pipe

Page 10: Magnetic Water Treatment .Haripriya Radhakrishnan

Types

O Temporary magnets

O Permanent magnets

Interior installed magnet

Exterior installed magnet

Page 11: Magnetic Water Treatment .Haripriya Radhakrishnan
Page 12: Magnetic Water Treatment .Haripriya Radhakrishnan

How does it works?

O Water passes through the magnetic field, all super- molecules vibrate

O This will intensify the internal vibration of these super-molecules to the breaking point.

Page 13: Magnetic Water Treatment .Haripriya Radhakrishnan

Cont.…

O These super-molecules fracture and release their encaged particles (Ca,Mg).

O Precipitates come out of solution as a sludge and can be easily removed from the system
