The game helped us to know more about each other. It taught us to handle our emotions, anger and find solutions for all our conundrums. We all understood the true meaning of togetherness and how important it is to support each other at every stage. At various instances during the game we learnt how to trust in each other and learnt from the mistakes of the other team; after all, smart people learn from their mistakes but wise people learn from others mistakes. During the reflection we realized the juxtaposition between the handball and life situations. The letting go of the ball showed us that it is not necessary to always take charge we should know when to step in and step out. The team spirit needed to get the ball to the other side showed us that no one reaches to the top alone our success is because of the support of everyone. It was wonderful to see how natures architects - harvest ants made their houses in concentric circles with their saliva, it was absurdly fascinating. Similarly, the spiders had built their webs to not let the prey escape. We listened to the chirping of the morning birds, it filled us with exult. Watching the birds nest and their young ones warmed our hearts. Deeper into our walk we came across the shed skin of a snake, it was mystical. The unfathomable beauty of nature left us awestruck. Our Experiential Education

    Training Coaches

Everywhere in nature we are taught

the lessons of patience and waiting.

We want things a long time before

we get them; and the fact that we

want them a long time makes them

all the more precious when they

    come. - Joseph F. Smith

    BATTLE OF SAHARA

After the activities of the morning came to a close, the Magic Bus instructors introduced us to the Battle of Sahara; a game where teams had to fill each other’s buckets with water, both of which were on the opposite side of time of the football ground. After three mentally and physically straining days, this activity was a breath of fresh air. We were told to let ourselves go and connect with the child inside all of us, all the while obeying the restrictions. The activity taught us how to have fun even under stressful conditions and various constrictions.

    FINAL REFLECTION

    Finding our Groups –

    United we stand

These unforgettable three days have had a long-lasting impact on us. The final reflection was a discussion session where along with the instructors all the students shared their experience and according to them what they will be taking away from this trip.

All the students had different takes on the lessons they learnt. Some said that they learnt the importance of teamwork others said that they learnt the value of knowing yourself. There were few who said it made them connect with nature while the majority stated that it helped them be more confident beings. But all in all everyone agreed that this experience has opened their minds. It has helped them shape themselves into humans with more confidence, wisdom and compassion.

This experience has widened our horizons, helped us overcome our fears and made our bonds stronger.

All the students then thanked team magic bus for being such warm hosts and incredible supporters.
