I’ve chosen a Glamour contents page as I am familiar with some of the qualities is has. On this double page spread contents page, the title of the magazine is very clear and is printed on both pages. So I suppose it is the same the header. The first thing you see when you open the magazine to the contents page is these headers. They represent what the magazine is and are making a statement with their logo. It draws you in because it’s bright and easy to read in a block font. Under the header there is the month of issue, as it is a monthly magazine, it says February 2011. Because we know the month of issue, it is common sense that towards the end of February we will enter the spring season. So before even looking at anything else, we know that there is going to be something along the lines of recommended spring styles and outfits. The colours used on the header also relate to the spring month as they are bright and eye-catching, and fit in with a new season look. From the littlest information we have gathered a lot from what they are trying to get across with the header and month of issue.
