Magazine comparing

This magazine is aimed at young men/teenagers. The

captions and writing is bold so it stands out. The main

story headline is ‘when breasts escape’ which will

make people buy it. They also used a well-known

celebrity on the cover who is slim and sexy. They have

also stated that there is a pull out on page 16 that you

can take out of the mag and have it on your wall. The

main title is in red so it stands out.

Red is used for power and anger. The cover lines are

on the lefty hand side so that when placed on shelves

they can still be seen.

I think that this magazine is aimed at older men as it

has a picture of Barak Obama on it. It also has

captions of celebrity men that are older and mid aged.

They have also used 1 puff/plug to catch eyes. The

colours are red and black so they stand out but they

are also quite boring. There is also an eye catching

caption that says ‘our continuing obsession with

Megan Fox’ which will make people buy the

magazine.

The red and black writing show anger and danger but

they are calmed by the baby blue tie.

Serif font is used on the magazine which also suggests

that it is for older men. If the writing was different

sizes/fonts then it would be more appealing to

younger men.

The cover lines are on the left again so when stacked

on shelves they can still be seen.
