Artist Name: MC REALThis Magazine advert uses two types of font and one type of text. Black font is used on the Artist name while white font is used on the rest of the information. this is used so that the audience can see the difference in information as the black font informs the audience artist’s name while the white font informs the audience of the rest of the information. The text is a bold ‘Mangal’ style, the white information is used within a black fill surrounded by white borders. This makes the text stand out and look glamorous as the fills were graphic edited ‘sponge’ on Photoshop to look shinny and 3-D.

The artist name and album title is shown above his head this tells the audience who he is as the writing gets smaller after each fill the audience understand what information is most important from the artists name to album title to release date ect. The text that is not shown above his head shown on his body just above the waist this making the bigger text stand out more as it gains the attention of the target audiences. The artist is shown behind the text thus drawing the attention to him as he is seen as a portrait.

The theme of the magazine advert is the background of the artist being located in a park infront of a estate. This used to show the audience where he comes from also where hip-hop come from which many hip-hop fans say are the street and flats. The background makes the artist stand out amongst the audience as the background around him his graphic edited ‘Plastic’ on Photoshop this makes the location look shinny and appealing even though it is a deprived location in London, this is used to show anyone can succeed as it doesn’t matter where they come from. The artist is shown wearing a grey body-warmer and jacket to match the dull colour of the sky, he is also shown wearing blue jeans and a baseball cap which is conventional to the hip-hop culture. The magazine advert also shows a small image of the album cover this notifying the audience of what the album looks like so they can see it in local stores.

The graphic design of the magazine advert makes the colours stand out and look brighter causing a different affect. The lights from the flats in the background are more noticeable creating more realism also as the sky in the original photo seemed more dull though as I edited the photo the sky looked more shinny and glamorous creating a more natural effect.

The information used within this magazine is factual and only stating his name, album title and the date of release 01/12/2011. the information also shows information guest appearances of well known hip-hop and R&B stars such as Rokz and Sarah Wilson, this suggests that the album is of hip-hop because it contains hip-hop artist and R&B artists who are associate regularly with hip-hop acts.

The magazine advert shows the logos of major music merchandise companies such as HMV and ITunes; this is used to show the audience where the album can be bought and downloaded from.
