Annual Staff In-Service

Learning to live the Good Life

Madison County Board of Developmental Disabilities hosted its annual Staff In-Service on

August 16. The morning consisted of opening remarks by Superintendent Susan Thompson,

followed by the annual required elements of Universal Precautions and MUI by Health

Services Coordinator Denise Zerkle and Investigations Coordinator Josh Bierbaugh,

respectively. Josh continued by giving a ‘Good Life’ presentation —

a program that focuses on positive approach-

es. Following a great lunch from Cappy’s,

each area split up into afternoon activities.

Turn the page to see how the afternoon

worked out for the members of the Central

Office staff. Think, the Andy Griffith Show.

Hook, Line, and Thinkers

After spending the morning exercising their brains at the annual

staff in-service, what were the professionals from the MCBDD

Central Office going to do?

Well, they decided to take the advice of Andy and Opie and hang around the old

fishin’ hole!!
