Working in partnership with
The Capital’s Largest Film and TV Studios in 25 years
www.befirst.london
Be First, a newly established regeneration company owned by Barking and Dagenham Council, is seeking expressions of interest from organisations or consortia interested in working with us to deliver London’s largest film and TV studios in 25 years.
The 20 acre site offers the scope for three key elements:
1. a secure site for large film and TV stage sets and workshops up to 200,000 sq ft
2. a public destination facility of ‘shiny floor’ TV studios with audiences and associated workspace together with a leisure and food and beverage offer
3. scope for residential development to achieve a transformational mixed-use development
We are seeking to raise awareness among potential partners who share our vision for the site addressing the growing demand for studio space.

WHY DAGENHAM? As our short film shows, London is moving East and Barking and Dagenham is increasingly at the epicentre of this growth. Our site – largely cleared - is adjacent to Dagenham East station providing high frequency District Line services into central London. The site also has excellent road connections to the A13, M25, A406 and M11.
A feasibility study (see www.befirst.london) funded by the council and Mayor of London, with support from Film London, concluded Dagenham East represents a rare chance to build a world-class film studio within the boundaries of Greater London. This is a unique opportunity to deliver a multimedia complex as part of a mixed-use development in London’s Growth Opportunity.
It will ensure that Dagenham becomes known for Films as well as Fords.
