A long time ago, there was a minister named Qu-Yuan. He did a lot of good things for the country. But the other people started to jealous at him. And said bad things about him in front of the king. Then the king didn’t believe him anymore. He felt very sad, and jumped off the river.

The people missed him very much, and didn’t want to let the fish in the river to eat his body. They started to make rice dumplings, and threw it into the river. They want the fish to eat the rice dumplings, and not to eat his body.

Glutinous rice

We need:

Raisins

To make Rice Dumplings

We choose a special rice dumpling—Sweet Rice Dumpling

Bamboo leaves

1. Wash the rice and bamboo leaves 2.Use the leaves package the rice and the other things you want to put in.

(Like raisins, wolfberry, green bean, or red beans…etc.)3. Put them in the steamer, don’t forget to put some water in it.

4. Wait for four hours, and the rice dumplings is finish!
