Each day starts with exciting demonstrations and hands-on experiments focused on the days theme. Once that foundation is laid, kids will start working on custom- designed, at-home projects that will keep them engaged for an hour or more and is intended to strike a balance between on-screen science and o-screen projects. Some items used in the at-home activities are common household supplies. We will supply and deliver (one week before the start of camp) project items not normally found at home by one of the following methods: Through camp partners (where applicable) Shipped via US mail or delivered by Mad Science (based on our availability) Picked-up at our Mad Science Lab in Redmond Crazy Chemworks Your Jr Chemist will create surprising concoctions, break molecules with ease & shake up a flask full of fun. They'll use the tools, safety procedures & laboratory techniques of real chemists as they investigate solids, liquids and gases at the atomic level. Craft chemical combinations to create super-sticky-stu & discover properties of light. Exploring the elements has never been so much fun! Each day campers are given fun challenges whichthey overcome using basic materials, simple machines, tips from famous inventorsand most important of all… Their mind! Follow in the footsteps of da Vinci, Edison andthe Wright Bros. Construct catapults & forts, fabricate innovative flying machines, anddesign your own gizmo prototypes.

Flight AcademyFrom the earliest flying machines to the first rocket flights, campers will discover thewonders of flight through exciting hands-on activities. Our junior test pilots willexperiment with aerodynamics as they build and test a variety of paper aircraft,investigate Newton's laws of motion to help explain how things move and howrockets fly, and we’ll journey into the amazing Milky Way as we explore our galacticneighborhood.

Science ExplorersCampers will discover secret codes and learn to decipher hidden messages that theycan share with friends, develop their earth awareness, explore the science of farts(oops, digestion), and head into space as junior astronauts. Campers will also explorewhy their big toe is important and how to find their center of gravity when theyinvestigate the science of sports.

Spy AcademyLook out 007 – The Mad Science spy academy is in session! Sharpen your specialoperative skills as you uncover the secret world of espionage. Learn the art of listeningand observation, sending secret messages and decoding clues, and check out securitysystems and super cool spy equipment. Discover what it takes to keep things safe andhow technology works in the spy game.

Super Science SamplerMad Science comes in all shapes and sizes as our campers will discover in this excitingweek of science activities. Become an engineer and build bridges, domes, cubes, andpyramids. Assemble and control pulleys, levers, catapults, and simple machines. Usechemistry to make your own sidewalk chalk and bath bombs. Behold birds and beastsas we discover the animal kingdom!
