Mac OS X x64 Java SE Development Kit (JDK) 8 update 131 Installation Steps as of July 13, 2017.

1. Download and install the Mac OS X x64 Java JDK at: http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/jdk8-downloads-2133151.html

2. Check the “Accept License Agreement” 3. Click the red down arrow and download and install

“Mac OS X” jdk-8u131-macsosx-x64.dmg” Note the “u131” may change as updates are often released.

4. GoTo your Downloads folder and double click on the file: jdk-8u131-macosx-x64.dmg

5. The Java JDK installer will start.

Double click on the icon to begin the installation.

6. At Introduction, click Continue

7. At Installation Type, click Install

8. Use your Touch ID …

Or, enter your computer’s password and click Install Software.

A series of installation messages will appear.

9. Click Close, when the “installation was completed successfully.”

10. Choose to Keep or Move Installer to Trash

11. To check your Java version

Start the Terminal application by typing Terminal in the Spotlight search box

in the upper right corner.

12. Click on the Terminal application

13. Type in the Terminal window: java –version And press the return key

Your Java version will be displayed, such as, “1.8.0_131”

The Java JDK has been successful installed. The Java JDK enables users to start the Condor~.jar with a set amount of

memory to run fast and efficient.
