Curriculum Vitae (November 2016)

Employment History

Research Assistant: (August 2014 – present) Zewail City of Science and Technology – Center for Nanotechnology

- Designing and modeling of passive devices for millimeter wave bands (50 – 1000 GHz)

Modeling and simulation of passive devices based on the silicon on glass (SOG) and dielectric image guide (DIG) platforms. Those devices include waveguides, power

dividers, and dielectric resonator antennas.

Employing millimeter-wave passive devices for bio-sensing applications through

experimental characterization (A project funded by STDF).

- Designing and fabrication of experimental setup platform for interfacing our millimeter wave devices with the vector network analyzer

Designing the mechanical structure on CAD tools so that it can fits the standards of the

VNA in order to interface our devices with it.

Machining of those mechanical devices and fitting the assemblies.

The platform is used from 50 up to 500 GHz.

- Designing process mask for clean room operations

Using L-Edit software to design the patterning mask for the proposed devices.

Generate the Gerber files using LinkCAD software.

- Clean room experience

Working in a class 100 clean room.

I have a one-year Cleanroom experience class 100 facilities and been involved in the

fabrication process. I was trained on sputtering, Lithography process (two-layer process),

Plasma Enhanced Chemical Vapor deposition, plasma etchers (Deep Reactive Ion Etching)

and wet etchers (PAN solution, Gold etcher).

Experienced with ellipsometer and dektake.

- Characterization laboratory experience

Experienced with the Anristu Vector Network analyzer (measuring on the range from 50

up to 110 GHz)

Trained on SEM.

Trained on the IV characterization scope from keithley.

Teaching Assistant at the Center for Nanotechnology (August 2014 – present)

My responsibilities include delivering tutorials on the theoretical courses, and holding office hours to assist students in the completion of assignments. I also aid in preparing and delivering the following courses: Fundamental of Microfabrication and Nanotechnology by Marc J.Madou

Electric Circuits by Nilsson Riedel - Eight Edition

Microelectronic Circuit by Sedra Smith - fifth Edition

Introduction to Differential Equations by Jeffrey R. Chasnov
