31 This is the last picture of the Holy Mother taken till she was alive. From left to right are seen Holy Mother is taking her noon-meal , Radhu’s mother Surabala ,inside the room, Nalini, Nandarani, Jamini, Maku and wife of Nabasan. This picture was taken by Basiswar Sen at the varandah of Sureswar Sen’s house at Vishnupur in Falgun 1326 Bengali year and 1920 A.D. before Mother started her journey to Kolkata.

The picture shown here was also taken by Brahmachari Ganendranath on the same day, place and year as previous photograph while the Mother was worshipping at her shrine. The Mother was meditating at that time. Brahmachari Ganendranath was setting up his Box camera for another snap and some noise was created by him in the process. Holy Mother opened her eyes due to such noise. Immediately, Brahmachari Ganendranath said with folded hands, “Mother, I am taking a picture”.

B.Dutta took this photo of the Mother in Bengali year1316 and 1909 A.D. while Mother was worshipping at the shrine at her bedroom at Udbodhan i.e Mother’s house, Kolkata in Bengali year 1316 corresponding to 1309 of English calendar.

Swami Virajananda arranged for taking this photograph and it was taken by Vandike at a studio at Chowringhee Road, Kolkata in Baisakh 1312 and probably in June 1905 A.D.

The information is available in the book of Ashutosh Mitra entitled ‘Sri Ma’ at page-11.

B. Dutta took this photo of the Holy Mother at his studio at Chitpore Road Baghbazar, Kolkata on 22nd chaitra in the Bengali year 1311 and 1905 in English calendar.

Ashutosh Mitra desired to use this photo for his book but Swami Virajananda did not agree because he said that Mother was a little shaky and nervous when the photo was taken.

There is a mention of this fact at page-39 of Ashutosh Mitra’s book ‘Sri Ma’.
