ST. MARY’SPRESCHOOL

There’s hope even on stormy days. You’ll need:Bible, see-through glass or plastic containers filledwith water, foaming shaving cream, blue and yellowfood coloring (our Polar bears did this experiment

earlier this year). Sometimes life seems cloudy. Squirt a layer ofshaving cream over the water in the glass containers. Tell about atime you felt sad or discouraged. As each child shares, have himor her add some drops of food coloring over the “clouds” of shav-ing cream. It’s okay to feel sad. But when we do, God wants us tobe encouraged. Read Isaiah 41:10 and Joshua 1:9. Have kids keepan eye on the clouds and food coloring. The food coloring willbreak through the shaving cream, creating streaks of color in thewater. What did you like about this experiment? How can hardtimes turn into something good? Read Romans 8:28. What areways you can trust God in hard times?
