Delivers superior performance and True SpeedRandom read/write speed can reach maximums of 94,000/80,000 IOPS, and sequential read/write can achieve maximum speeds of 520/440 MB/s. Compared to the speed of the previous generation's M5S, the maximum performance increased by at least 50% (128G). When compared to traditional hard disk drives, the sequential read/write speed is even faster, by as much as 4 times! To maintain PLEXTOR's dedication toward speed, True Speed technology uses no compression, has no reduction in speed, and continuously ensures optimal computing performance.

Special power saving design with DEVSLP Mode supportThe M6S is equipped with the latest generation Marvell 88SS9188 dual-core control chip, and supports DEVSLP power mode, with power consumption at only 2mW! The new M6S provides better random and sequential performance than its predecessor the M6S, and is more energy efficient. Under the same operating environment, the power consumption of M6S has decreased by 30% to 50% compared to the previous generation‘s M5S. When compared to traditional 7200rpm hard disk drives, it gives your notebook up to 30 minutes of extra battery life!
