Setting Initial IP Address on HP StorageWorks

Use the COM port: To set IP address:

Input the data using “ipAddrSet” command Copy the IP Address to the label provided on the front panel

To reset the switch configuration parameters to Brocade default: Enter the “configDefault” command

The configDefault command is used to reset some of the switch functional configuration parameters to their default values. All the parameters are set to defaults except the following:

World Wide Name Ethernet MAC address Ethernet IP address and subnetmask IP gateway address OEM customization SNMP configuration Zoning configuration Quickloop configuration License keys System name Password (firmware 2.6 and higher)

 Warning: Configdefault resets the switch to factory defaults, not hp defaults
