GUIDELINE #1

Be in your assigned seat and working on the assigned “DO NOW” work when the bell rings.

GUIDELINE #2

Bring ALL books and materials to class and take them with you or put them away when you leave.

GUIDELINE #3

Follow directions the first time they are given.

GUIDELINE #4

Treat each person in this room with respect and dignity.

GUIDELINE #5

Follow all procedures and policies as outlined in the UCVTS and Magnet High School handbooks. All students will betreated fairly and impartially.

SPECIAL GUIDELINE

This classroom is a “No Whining Zone”That means that there will be no whining for ANY reason.

Everything that I do is in your best interest, so please respect the “No Whining Zone”.

Any student who uses profanity, fights, damages school property (this includes the property of the teacher and other students), or is disrespectful (as defined by the teacher) will be sent to the office IMMEDIATELY.

CLASSROOM PROCEDURESCLASSROOM DISCUSSIONS . . . Active ParticipationI want to hear what you have to say!Make all questions and comments relevant to the current discussion.If your question is off the topic, write it down and ask later.

CLASSROOM PROCEDURESGETTING UP FROM YOUR DESK . . .You MUST ask permission.Do not ask during a class discussion or lecture unless it is an emergency.Keep all trash at your desk until the end of class.You may sharpen your pencils when needed unless we are in the middle of a lecture, test, discussion or video.

ASSIGNMENTS . . .You MUST complete assignments and hand them in the day they are due if you are in attendance. If you do not hand itin you will receive a zero.

ASSIGNMENTS . . .Assignments and projects with due date given 1 week or more ahead of time must be handed in on the due date or BEFORE. Failure to hand in the assignment on time will result in a ZERO. PLAN AHEAD!
