2016-17 Three teams from second year computer stood as Super-

Twenty Winners for National Level Project Deep Blue Season 2 organized by Mastek company.

A team from second year computer secured 2nd Rank in State level ITSA Hackathon Matrix 2017 at SPIT College ,Andheri.

Total 2 teams , one from second year (Siddikians Team) and other from third year (SoBoites Team) have been selected and did 36hours of non-stop coding for Smart India Hackathon finale by 1st and 2nd April 2017 at srivenkateshwar college of engineering, Bengaluru.

Sabiqua Dhalvekar, Hamza Azmi and Firoz Ansari have presented Technical Paper for Prakalpa 2017 at K.J.Somaiya College of Engineering and won Best Paper award for State level Competition on 31st March 2017.

Maaz Khan, Jawad Shaikh, Danish Shah, Aditya Mishra and Afzal Sayed from third year participated and secured runner up prize (Rs. 5000 and certificates) in Mumbai Hackathon organized by DBIT in collaboration with ERPnext organization.

Interdisciplinary ‘Team Aerosouls’ comprising of core members from Mech Dept put up a commendable performance against stiff competition from international teams in the SAE International Aerodesign (East) competition held at Lakeland ,Florida,USA between 13th to 15th March,2015 and won the Second Prize in Design in Advanced Class and 3rd prize in Design in Micro Class.

7. The interdisciplinary ‘Team MHSSC Botix’ led by Mr. Mustafa Bandukwala of Mech. Engg. won the following in Robowars

i. 2nd prize in MINDSPARK-14 organized by COEP, Pune. ii. 3rd prize in Technovanza organized by VJTI. iii. Excellence in Design award in Techfest-2015 organized by IIT, Mumbai.

8. Team MHSS Ciclismo of Mech. Engg. Dept. led by Mr. Holy Uwais won 3rd prize in the Design Event of Human Powered Vehicle Challenge-15 organized by American Society of Mechanical Engineers at Delhi.

9. Team AeroMach led by Murtuza Chasmawala of B.E.(Mech) won 1st prize in Design in Aero Dominator event organised during the International Knowledge Carnival – Gravitas’ 15 at VIT university Vellore held from 25th to 27th September 2015.

Co-curricular activities like paper presentation, poster presentation, green events like cleaning of beach, social event like blood donation etc. are also conducted by various societies of our college by active participation of our students.

Sports activities

Our college gives importance to the participation of our students in sports and co-curricular activities. A playground is available in our college campus where all games like Box cricket, football, Volley ball, Badminton & Kabaddi are held. For outdoor sports like cricket we are using the facilities of Azad maidan, Cross maidan, Police Gymkhana ground and hired basis. A fully renovated Gymnasium is available on the 4th

Finals. At Indore they again stood first among the 17 teams participated from various universities of Maharashtra and went to

Pune for semi-finals. At pune they stood second among 12 teams participated from various universities of the North-West

zone and went to Bangalore for Finals. At Bangalore they stood second among 6 teams (3 from North-West zone and

remaining 3 from South-East zone). At the time of Finals they received job offer letter from Hitachi. It is clear that, Anas Khan

and Juzer Rangwala have worked very hard to have profound knowledge of HVAC and achieve success in the fierce quiz
