Lysva Metallurgical Plant (Lysva city, Perm region), which starts its history from 1875, is one of the oldest plants in the Ural, Russia. The plant history includes century’s traditions of quality and workmanship.
Its business stamp – the Unicorn – was the guarantee of high quality steel sheets in Russia and abroad starting from XIX Century. The roofs of the Notre Dame in Paris and the British Parliament Building were made from Lysva steel. And at the present time the plant keeps high quality standards for its own products, which were founded more then 2-centuries ago.
Today LMP in Russia is the single producer of high effective kind of products such as electrolytic zinc coated cold rolled steel and electro-galvanized coil coated cold rolled steel. The production of the plant is in great demand in Automotive, Construction and Machine-Building Industries.
LMP is producing the coil coated cold rolled steel on continues line of two joint units. In this line all operations are made such as surface preparation, electrolytic zinc coating, passivation, organic coating and drying. As a result, solid and esthetic coat is made on surface of rolled steel, which can resist different effects of environment. For production of electro-galvanized coil coated steel the plant uses only high quality steel bases as well as lacquers and enamels from world’s famous producers. Two steps quality control of products is carried out in the plant’s laboratory. First of all, the control of using materials properties is to be made in the beginning of the process and then certification of final products.
The Quality Management System of Lysva Metallurgical Plant is certified in accordance with International Standard ISO 9001:2008 and in accordance with Automotive Industry International Standard ISO/TS 16949:2009. Certification Agency – Union Technique de I’Automobile et du Cycle (UTAC).

Advantages of electro-galvanized coating

If electro-galvanized cold rolled steel is used in automotive industry it is reducing technological cost due to reduction of welding amperage (10-15% less) and higher durability of electrodes (5 times more appr).

Lysva Metallurgical Plant has a technology of covering electro-galvanized cold rolled steel with phosphate slick. It makes the process of forging easier and pre-serves the products during storage and transportation.

Partners Since 2000 Lysva Metallurgical Plant ZAO has been the exclusive partner of JSC “AvTOvAZ” in delivery of EZ cold rolled steel (used for body details of LADA and Chevrolet Niva cars).
Using the products of LMP gives an opportunity to JSC “AvTOvAZ” to abandon the import of similar EZ cold rolled steel from abroad. LMP delivers the EZ cold rolled steel to other automotive building plans in Russia and the CIS countries.
