Especialista en Reumatología, después de completar mi formación MIR (2001), he trabajandodurante cuatro años como médico especialista de área en el Hospital Clínico San Carlos,Madrid. Contrato de investigación Río Hortega en el año 2005 de tres años de duración,me he formado como investigador en el ámbito de la epidemiología clínica y en Cienciasde la Salud. He intercalado desde entonces labor asistencial como facultativo especialistade área con labor investigadora en epidemiología clínica en ese hospital. He participadoen diversos proyectos de Investigación clínica, dando lugar a la publicación de numerosostrabajos científicos. Contrato de investigación Miguel Servet I desde enero 2012 hastadiciembre 2016. Desde Enero 2017 hasta la fecha contrato de Investigación Miguel ServetII. Actualmente soy la responsable del Departamento de Investigación de la Unidad deGestión Clínica de Reumatología del Hospital Clínico San Carlos. Lidero las siguienteslíneas de investigación en epidemiología en ciencias de la salud: 1) Carga de la enfermedaden Enfermedades Musculoesqueléticas (EMEs): a) Calidad de vida, dolor, discapacidad ymortalidad en las EMEs; c) Calidad asistencial en EMEs; d) Seguridad de pacientes en EMEs.2) Epidemiología Clínica en Artritis Reumatoide (AR): a) Pronóstico de la AR: Calidad de vida,discapacidad, mortalidad y daño radiológico en AR; b) Eficacia y seguridad de los fármacosen AR. 3) Epidemiología Clínica en Arteritis de Células Gigantes (ACG): a) Pronóstico de laACG: Recidivas y Mortalidad en ACG; b) Supervivencia y seguridad del Metotrexate y loscortioides en ACG. 4) Epidemiología clínica en Enfermedad Pulmonar Intersticial difusa (EPID) asociada a Enfermedades Reumatológicas Autoinmunes (ARA): a) Pronóstico de la EPID:ARA: progresión funcional pulmonar y mortalidad. b) Eficacia y seguridad de los fármacos enEPID-ARA. Desde el año 2012 he publicado 34 trabajos científicos, 7 de primera autora, 12de última autora y 4 de segunda. De todos ellos 30 en revistas internacionales.
