Tampa Bay Rays – The Bestof the Best!

Boasting one of the best recordsin the league – including making theplayoffs four times in the past six years– you have more reasons than ever tocome watch the Rays play. In fact, theRays have won more games since2008 than any other team in theleague, with the exception of the Yan-kees – who have won just a handfulmore, despite an astronomical $900-million spending gap between the twoteams. In addition, they have accom-plished five 90-win seasons in the past

six years, which is more than any otherteam in the MLB, and quite possiblyin the entire sport. So, when you gowatch your home team on the Tropi-cana Field, you truly are watching oneof the best teams in the Nation!

So Much More Than Just ABaseball Team

Your local hometown baseballteam, the Tampa Bay Rays, have be-come a huge part of this communityin more ways than one and as impres-sive as they are on the field, what theydo outside of the stadium is just asamazing! many of the corporate employees, dedicate their time to helping individ-uals, families and organizations in thecommunity through their numerouscharities, volunteer programs and part-nership affiliations.

“We are really proud to be com-munity impact leaders,” says MarkFernandez, Senior Vice President ofthe Rays Organization. We take ourresponsibility seriously and are always

looking to find ways to form mean-ingful partnerships within the com-munity. Giving away the money iseasiest part, but the most meaningfulthing that we do, in addition to beingan ongoing funder, is to be activelyengaged in the community.”

An inspiration to our youth, theplayers are a true testament to the no-tion, that if you dream big and workhard, anything is possible. Further-

more, in all their success, they also rec-ognize that giving back is just as im-portant as the sport they play and thatwithout you – their fans, their com-munity – what they have accomplishedwould never have been possible; whichis why they give back to the TampaBay area, not just to show gratitudeand thanks, but because they want tomake a difference in the lives of thosearound them! “At the end of the day,the name on the front of their jerseymeans more than the name on theirback,” says Mark. “When people seeour logo and our brand, I hope we’vedone enough for them to say, ‘that’s

The gentlemanwas very happy with the two bar stoolsthat he had purchased a few yearsback, but he noted that he was chang-ing his living space somewhat. Withher soothing Scottish brogue,Philomena quickly qualified exactlywhat he needed, and helped him torealize that he needn’t replace his ex-isting barstools, but instead, just addto their number with several othermatching pieces. He was beaming!Certainly, if you have something veryspecific in mind, let Barstool Maniadesign exactly what you need for yoursituation. In most cases, custom or-

I have personally been a patient oftheirs for many years, and am sopleased with the kind of care that theyprovide. When I’m sick and need to beseen quickly, I can always get an ap-pointment, and when I am there, I al-ways feel like family. Honestly, when Ineeded tests because we were worriedwe’d found something scary; theyjumped right into action, ordered theright tests, followed up, and helped mecelebrate when the results were clear.

Wellness, Prevention & HealthcareMost of the time, when you go to

a doctor, they tell you the typicalthings – it’s either, “you need a pre-scription,” or “it’s just a virus go backto bed,” or maybe “lay off the icecream.” But, what about when, you,as a patient, have concerns, goals, wishes? Are you bringing those toyour doctor’s attention? Do you wantto learn how to lose weight thehealthy way? Do you want to knowwhy you have acne at 35? Do you wishyou actually knew what those bloodpressure numbers meant when thenurse read them off to you after everyphysical? Because so many of us are so

busy, we’ve stopped going to the doc-tor for preventive or wellness care, andthat’s a mistake. Only going to yourdoctor when you need an antibioticdoesn’t allow them to look at youroverall health and wellness. At TrinityFamily Physicians, their goals are yourgoals – a healthier, happier you.

Did you know that most insur-ance companies offer at least one freephysical a year? That’s right! That’sthe perfect time to make a list, comein, and meet with the doctors. It’s agood time to take a look at the med-ication that you’re taking, both pre-scription and over the counter, and todiscuss the reasons why. In fact, thedoctors at Trinity Family Physiciansare doing their best to meet with theirpatients during their well-visit to dis-cuss ways to eliminate or at least de-

crease prescription medicines wherepossible, and to see if there’s an herbalsupplement that may be safer and eas-ier on your body to take.

Have you ever asked your doctorfor a supplement or a vitamin? If not,you should! Dr. Eldridge and Dr.Shirmo are proud to offer options totheir patients and for many people, supplements and vitamins can do a lotof amazing things to help medicalconcerns naturally. Historically, peoplehave been using herbs and essentialoils to help with medical maladiessince the beginning of time, and origi-

nally that’s what most of our medi-cines were made of. Today, however, many medicines are a cocktail ofchemicals that can help to treat aproblem, but can also cause a myriadof side effects in the process. The doc-tors’ expertise is in determining whatkind of medicine to prescribe, and toweigh those risks with each patient. While prescription medicine is impor-tant and necessary, there’s a trendamong many patients to ask for lessprescription medicine if there are alter-natives. That’s why Dr. Eldridge andDr. Shirmo are proud to announce a

new line of supplements at their officethat can help with everything fromlosing weight to lowering your bloodpressure – naturally and safely.

Dr. Shirmo says, “It’s importantto us to provide customized healthcareto our patients, and to offer our pa-tients choices when possible. That’swhy we’ve decided to offer supple-ments, which can either be taken in-stead of some medicines, or taken inconjunction with some medicines toenhance them to yield a positive re-sult.” He adds, “But it’s also impor-tant to know where those supplementscome from, which is why we’ve cho-sen NutraMetrix, because it’s a U.S.Company, where all of the compo-nents are made in the U.S. and physi-cians are in charge of the qualitycontrol of the product. It’s a productwe trust, and it’s a product we take.”

Offering general vitamins for over-all wellness, sleep aids, heart health, safeweight management, help for visionand more, the NutraMetrix line is well-known and respected, and has createdsafe supplements to help you live ahealthier life, with the idea that youwon’t actually have to go to the doctoras often! That’s okay with the doctorsat Trinity Family Physicians! They wantyou to be well, and when you’re not, they will be there to help.

Using all of the tools that theycan, Dr. Eldridge and Dr. Shirmowant to strategize with you for youroverall healthcare, help you meet thegoals that you have, and encourageyou to live a healthy lifestyle.

Another way that Dr. Eldridgeand Dr. Shirmo like to reach out tohelp is by sharing important informa-tion and tips, so they encourage theirpatients to “like” and visit their face-book page. There, they let peopleknow if there’s a virus outbreak in theneighborhood, if the flu shots are avail-able, and they also give helpful tools toincorporate wellness into your life.
