Baton Rouge, LA – The Louisiana Used Motor Vehicle Commission (LUMVC) held an Administrative Hearing on July 18, 2016, on HAMID GHASSEMI, INDIVIDUALLY AND IMPORT ONE, INC. located at 9977 Airline Highway, Baton Rouge, LA and 12020 Airline Highway, Baton Rouge, LA. This dealership was assessed fines for the following violations: Five hundred dollars and no/100 ($500.00) each for two (2) counts in violation of La. R.S. 32:792(3) Engaging in a business in such a manner as to cause injury to the public or to those with whom you are dealing. Two hundred dollars and no/100 ($200.00) each for one (101) counts in violation of La. R.S. 32:792(B)(8) Engaging in the practice of failing to delivery certificates of title to a consumer within the time limitations prescribed in R.S. 32:705. Two hundred dollars and no/100 ($200.00) each for ninety two (92) counts in violation of La. R.S. 32:792(B)(10) Failing to remit sales tax where sales tax has been collected by the dealer. One thousand dollars and no/100 ($1,000.00) for all costs of the investigation and administrative hearing. The Used Motor Vehicle Commission will accept no application for licensure by HAMID GHASSEMI or IMPORT ONE, INC. shall be considered by the Commission until all fines and costs set forth herein are paid in full. JUDGMENT: $40,600.00 FINE
