He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Erika Bowersmith; two sons, Al (Rebecca) Bowersmith, Glen Bowersmith; one granddaughter, Kristina Bowersmith; two sisters, Ruth Bowersmith, Pat Hineman; two brothers, Kenny Bowersmith, Edgar Bowersmith Jr.; a long-time friend, Jim Cassel; and a host of family and friends. He was retired from the United States Army, a veteran of the Vietnam War, a recipient of the German Occupational Badge, retired from Civil Service, Fort Knox, Ky., and part owner of the Comic Vault, Radcliff. Visitation will be from 1-5 p.m. on April 24 at the Coffey & Chism Funeral Home, Vine Grove, Ky.. BULLOCK Lester M. Bullock, 72, born May 20, 1943 in Quincy, Ill. lost his battle to ALS and went to be with his Lord on April 16, 2016 at Norton’s Hospital in Louisville, Ky. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph (Lil) Decker; one brother at birth, Terry; his brother in Christ, Albert Cockriel; uncles, aunts, and cousins. He is survived by his loving wife of over fifty years, Sha- ron Bullock; one son, Rodney (Patricia); four grandsons, Robert Richardson, Joey Bullock, Tyler Hardin Bullock, Aaron Bullock, of Meade County; one adopted grandson, Brandon Curry from Greensburg Christian Church; three great-grandsons, Camron, Cayden, and Cole Thomas Bullock. He graduated from Quincy High School class of 1961 and then joined the U.S. Army, where he retired at Ft. Knox. He met his wife Sharon Campbell and was married on June 5, 1965 at Red Hill Baptist Church by Brother James Royalty. Les and Sharon were married over 50 years. To this union was born one son Rodney. He was baptized into Christ for remission of his sins by North Hardin Christian Church on March 14, 1982. Ordained by NHCC as an evangelist Sept., 1991 and served as an evangelist. His mind was still sharp and all who took care of him and visited him knew about the Lord. A special verse to “Les” was 2nd Timothy 4:6 “I have fought a good fight, I have kept the faith”. Even with his condition he kept ministry by telling his aids, nurses, and visitors about the Lord and his favorite word was JOY, (Jesus First, Others Second, Yourself Last). A graveside service with military honors will be held April 21 at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central, Radcliff, Ky. with Rev. Mark Bishop officiating.
