Cool Roof certifications are achieved with specific manufacturer’s coatings as a total system. Granules by themselves will not qualify for Cool Roof, whereas when applied under typical conditions 100% coverage is not achieved or specified. A total sytem of approved coating and granules is required. Typical total reflectivity = 70% .
