This was leading to 3- 4 fire hazards per year » To avoid these fire hazards, and interruptions in operation the mill requested a fire-resistant grease » With confidence from the test results, the mill selected two ladle turrets for a 6 month trial of QUINTOPLEX™ LXS 1002-EP » There were no fire hazards throughout the 6 month trial period. THE PRODUCT QUINTOPLEX™ is a fire-resistant grease formulated with QUINTOLUBRIC® base stocks that have been approved by Factory Mutual as less hazardous.

QUINTOPLEX™ EP greases are designed to replace extreme pressure, mineral oil-based greases in applications where fire hazards exist or in environmentally sensitive bearing applications without compromising overall equipment operation.
