Our mission is to prepare students for life by nurturing, developing, and inspiring every child, every day.The Board of Lubbock ISD is committed to achieving a vision of excellence for our District, based on these beliefs:

Introduction to Lubbock ISD’s Strategic Planning Process
The Lubbock ISD Strategic Plan is the result of a collaborative and comprehensive process conducted in partnership with stakeholders. This plan details the activities and processes departments and campuses will use to systematically coordinate and align resources and actions with the mission, vision and goals throughout the organization. The LISD strategic plan will be used for the next three years to set district priorities, focus resources, strengthen and improve operations, ensure synergy of work toward common goals, define intended outcomes and results.In order to ensure continuous improvement, alignment of district systems, centered on student learning and growth, LISD will focus on following areas:
ӹ Teaching and Learning – LISD will support and empower all students to reach their highest potential through the development of their knowledge, skills, and abilities
ӹ Professional Development – Lubbock ISD will equip, support, and inspire staff through focused and intentional professional development to meet the needs of the whole student.
