Alternative Education is designed to
meet the needs of students who
struggle to succeed in the traditional
school setting. In alternative
programs, students are provided
with a variety of options that lead to
graduation and are supported by
services for themselves and their
immediate families that are essential
to success. While each program is
unique, New Hope shares
characteristics identi�ed in research
as common to successful alternative
schools.

How do I qualify?To qualify for enrollment, a student must meet the
following criteria:
• Student is classified as a junior or senior for
the 2017-18 school year.
• Student is struggling to succeed academically
and would benefit from instruction offered in
a non-traditional program of study.
• Student is not experiencing discipline
problems in the school where he or she is
currently enrolled.
• Student may have special or unique
circumstances that make their enrollment in
an alternative school more necessary:
Student is pregnant or has children.
S tudent is employed or needs to work to
support his or her family.
Student is struggling to complete a
traditional high school program.
