0 During the Spanish War of Independence, the French occupied Gozon in 1809 and in 1811 causing severe damage to the villa.

0 In the late nineteenth century Gozon becomes a leisure summer. The opening of a spa and bathhouse on the beach of the Bank in 1890 symbolizes this conversion. The summer tourism generated by these spaces led to the installation of industrial enterprises engaged in the production of canned and service establishments related to this new form of entertainment, 3 but never suffered an industrialization Gozon siilar to neighboring towns such as Candida or Avilés, among contruírse other reasons to not train.

0Gozon (LLuanco in Asturian) is a parish and a village, city council Gozon Spaniard in Spain. The parish has a population of 9,887 inhabitants, of which 5,242 correspond to the Villa (2011). In 2005 the Council of the Principality of Asturias officially declared the bilingual name LLuanco / Gozon to call this town. It is located between Candida and Aviles, a few miles from Cabo de Peñas, which is the northernmost point of the Principality. It was mainly fishing village, but in recent decades has developed through tourism.

0The sport club Marino de Luanco was founded in 1931 and it’s a spanish football club which plays in 2ºB. It plays as local in the municipal stadium of Miramar.
