TM TT LUN VNCng ngh Truyn hnh s ang pht trin rt mnh m trn ton th gii, v Truyn hnh Vit Nam cng khng th ng ngoi xu th . Do vy trong thi gian qua Truyn hnh Vit Nam nghin cu, tm hiu, so snh v cn nhc la chn mt chun truyn hnh s trong ba chun hin nay ang s dng trn th gii: ATSC, DVB, ISDB-T. Nm 2001 truyn hnh Vit Nam chn chun DVB c s dng trn lnh th Vit Nam. Trong nhng nm u vic s ho c thc hin khu sn sut cc chng trnh truyn hnh, n nay ang s ho dn cng on truyn dn v pht sng tn hiu truyn hnh. Hin nay ton b h thng truyn hnh s Vit Nam u s dng chun nn MPEG-2 ca DVB. Trong khi hin nay trn th gii pht trin nhiu cng ngh mi nh nn Video MPEG-4 c kh nng gim c tc bit xung thp hn m cht lng hnh nh khng i. Tuy nhin cc sn phm thng mi ca cng ngh mi ny cha ph bin hn na s lng thit b u t theo chun MPEG-2 ti Vit Nam l rt ln v s tip tc pht trin trong mt thi gian di na. Do lun vn ny ch tp trung vo lnh vc Truyn dn tn hiu truyn hnh s theo chun nn MPEG-2.

2.5.4. Thng tin c t chng trnh (PSI- Program Specific Information) Thng tin c t chng trnh bao gm cc loi thng tin l PAT, PMT, NIT, CAT. Mt dng truyn ti c th gm mt s cc chng trnh, mi chng trnh li bao gm mt s dng s cp. Do h thng cn phi theo di tt c cc dng s liu khc nhau v cc PID lin h. iu ny c thc hin bng hai c ch nh x nh sau: Bng t chc chng trnh (PAT - Program Association Table): Danh sch tt c cc chng chnh cha trtong dng truyn ti s c ghi trn PAT. Mi dng truyn ti phi c 1 PAT c s PID lun lun bng 0. Cn phi c bng PAT nhn dng cc s PID ca mi chng trnh (Cc s PID ny thng ch n cc bng PMT ca mi chng trnh). Bng nh x chng trnh (PMT - Program Map Table): Mi chng trnh trong dng truyn ti u c 1 bng PMT ring. Bng ny dng xc nh cc s PID ca mi dng s cp thuc chng trnh . C th ghi thm cc Descripter (b m t) vo PMT. Descripter mang cc thng tin chi tit v chng trnh cng nh v cc dng s cp thnh phn nh: cc thng s m haVideo, cc thng s m ha Audio, nhn dng ngn ng, chi tit v truy cp c iu kin, thng tin v bn quyn... Bng thng tin mng (NIT - Network Information Table): Trong PAT chng trnh s 0 c dnh ring ch n NIT. Cc chng trnh c nh s theo th t lin tip, bng thng tin mng (NIT) l ty chn v ni dung ca bng cng mang tnh ring t (c nh ngha bi ngi s dng, ch khng phi bi MPEG-2). MPEG-2 khng yu cu mt s PID c bit no dng ring cho NIT (Tuy nhin mt h thng c th no li c th yu cu iu ny). NIT thng cung cp cc thng tin v mng vt l dng truyn dng truyn ti nh : tn s knh, chi tit v b pht p v tinh, c tnh iu ch...
