INTRODUCTION:
LRS = LAYOUT REGULARISATION SCHEME,
BRS = BUILDING REGULARISATION SCHEME
( Started for the first time in the year 1998,by HyderabadMunicipal corporation in the combined state of Andhra Pradesh,To regularize the illegal and unapproved layouts and Buildings )

Relevance in Today’s – Telangana State: Telangana Government, also again started this Scheme in Hyderabad City, in the month of October 2015 for regularize the layouts and Buildings.
As per one of their minister’s statement there are morethan 3000 structures which are constructed illegally on the drains and other unapproved areas.
New chance for the citizens, who missed the chance to apply in the previous notifications given in 1998, 2008 etc..

LRS – BRS summary:
POINT – 1 :Regulation of unauthorized constructed buildings and buildings constructed in deviation to the sanctioned plan
POINT -2 :Regulation of unapproved and illegal layouts

EXCLUSIONS: Sites under legal litigation/ disputes regarding ownership of the site / building;• Unauthorized constructions without any building sanction in unapproved / unauthorized layouts, for whichprior approval of site/plot under regularization of unapproved and illegal layout rules shall be obtained
• Encroached Government lands and Proposed Master plan roads and rail network

EXCLUSIONS: Surplus land declared under Urban land Ceiling
Buildings constructed prior to 01.01.1985 exempted from these Rules.
Area earmarked for parking as per sanctioned plan
Areas prohibited for construction under GOMs No. 1119

• G.O.Ms No. 146 dated 31.10.2015
• G.O.Ms.No.168 – dated 07.04.2012 • scheme applicable Buildings constructed from 01.01.1985 to 28.10.2015.
