WHAT IS RETICULATED SYSTEM OF

LPG ?

Reticulated System is the safest way of supplying LPG to the kitchen. Today, more and more homes both in Old and New Buildings are opting for this system.

Reticulated System is one of the latest valued addition being offered by property developers to their client. Getting uninterrupted supply of LPG is the latest fad, which most of the builders are adding to their portfolio of their value added offerings.

This system has now become common in the city and is much sought after by the flat owners and renters.

WHY RETICULATED SYSTEM ?

Reticulated System is a method for distribution of LPG in high rise apartments to customer’s kitchen through the pipeline network from centralized cylinder bank.

The system is designed to supply LPG through multi pressure in order to reach the user at a safe low pressure, compared to conventional system where high pressure LPG Cylinder is located in the kitchen which is potential threat to both human life and property.

Reticulated gas system promises an uninterrupted supply and a host of other benefits for the households.The system essentially involves a piped network in an apartment complex that supplies cooking gas direct to the hotplates in individual households by drawing the fuel from a pool of cylinders.The supply gets metered just the way it is being done for water and electricity(LUKU). Apart from providing continuous supply of the cooking gas at the turn of tap, use of reticulated system means saving on space, time and money.

The Reticulated Gas System involves a piped network that supplies cooking gas to individual flats through a centralized gas bank. In centralized gas bank, the cylinders are connected to a manifold which consists of two arms- Active Bank & Standby Bank- the manifold arm connected to cylinders from which LPG is supplied is known as the “Active Bank” and the other arm connected to the cylinders is known as the “Standby Bank.”

How Reticulated System is Works

When the LPG gets exhausted in the active bank, the supply of LPG from the active bank to the standby bank is either done manually or automatically. While the LPG supply from the standby bank continues, the gas company replaces the empty cylinders to ensure that the users receive uninterrupted supply of gas.

A digital prepaid or post paid gas meter is installed in a suitable position (inside or at the entry point of the kitchen) that records the usage of the LPG as it passes through it. Gas meters measure a defined volume, regardless of the pressurized quantity or quality of the gas flowing through the meter.

The benefits and futures of the digital prepaid gas meter are same like LUKU.

How Reticulated System is Works

Reticulated Piped Gas System is supply of LPG through a network of pipelines, from a centralized cylinder bank / manifold system or a Bulk Installation (Bullet) to customer Kitchens in case of domestic /Corporate consumers.

Technical Specifications

As proposed to most of our competitors design of 2 Stage Regulation System, Futuristic Gas Systems provides a robust 3 stage, pressure regulation system design i.e. PRS I, PRS II, PRS III, using combination of under pressure shut off, over pressure shut off, non-return valves, to regulate the pressure at cylinder bank from 6 bars to a low pressure of 28 millibars, at individual customers kitchen.

Technical Specifications

The pipelines are designed using latest Piping Design and Network Analysis Software, to maintain a constant regulated low pressure flow, at customer’s kitchen.

The Cylinder manifold, Pipes, Pipe joints and Pigtails are tested to withstand a pressure of 26kg/cm2 (I.S. 6044), so that it can handle direct cylinder pressure of 4 -5 bars (almost 4 - factor of safety design)

The Pipe, Pigtails, Pipe Fittings, Pressure Regulating Valves, Non Return Valves and fittings used by us are according to specified standards and are approved by HPCL, BPCL, IOCL

Two cylinder Banks are provided with one working (active) and one standby, when the active bank is empty, the system automatically switches over to the stand-by cylinder bank (auto change over valves) thus ensuring uninterrupted gas supply to customers kitchen.

Non Return Valves are mounted, at every flexible pigtail and manifold, to block the main pipeline from leakage in case any of the pigtails are damaged or are ruptured.

Isolation Valves are installed, at every riser pipeline

A Regulator with UPSO (Under Pressure Shut off) and OPSO (Over Pressure Shut Off) installed near the building SHUTS OFF the gas supply instantly, in case of leakage.

A Gas Isolation Tap is provided in the kitchen before the Gas stove

In case the customer has left the gas burner on, without attending to it, or there is interruption of LPG gas flow for some reason, the regulator will instantly shut off the supply to the Gas stove.

The customer will have to close the Gas Stove, wait for 1-2 minutes, to get the normal supply again. Thus the combination of safety devices eliminates the risk of LPG leaking into the customer’s kitchen and creating a potential hazard

In Case Of Leakage

The system is designed to supply LPG through multiple pressure regulator stages in order to reach users at a safer low pressure

Main stock of the LPG at the base of the building connected to Manifold System.

Total LPG in the riser is less than 5 Kgs compared to multiple cylinders in each apartment.

Mainline Emergency Valve to cut off gas supply to the entire complex in case of fire.
