Ensuring Optimal Prosthetic Foot PerformanceTo maximize performance and user satisfaction with Freedom Innovations foot products, it is essential that they be ordered according to the appropriate specifications. When the optimal device is effectively fit, users should experience a prosthetic foot that assists them with a natural gait and stands up to high impact forces.

• Check to be sure that the user’s prosthesis will have the build space needed for the prosthetic foot that has been chosen.

• To provide the most responsive energy storage and return device, clinicians should typically select the “tallest” foot that can be fit within the given build space. This ensures utilization of the longest carbon fiber spring possible and as a result, the most dynamic response.

• The patient’s “impact level” is determined by their desired regular daily activities. The following chart will help classify the impact level as Low, Moderate or High. Be careful not to overestimate the patient’s activity level, to avoid selecting a product that is too stiff.

• By matching the patient’s impact level with their weight the appropriate foot stiffness category can be identified.

A consistent proximal and distal wall thickness is featured, with a thinner proximal posterior section to facilitate comfort when sitting and bending the knee.

For enhanced cushioning and comfort, the wall thickness of the tapered design gradually becomes thicker as you move towards the distal end of the liner. The proximal posterior section behind the knee is thinner to facilitate comfort when sitting and bending the knee.

3 MPC Knee – Cosmetic Cover KitCosmetically finishing the Plié 3 MPC Knee has never been easier. The new Plié Cosmetic Cover Kit provides a simple, snap-on solution for the lower shank portion of the prosthesis. Simply remove the Protective Cover from the knee frame, slip the knee into the pre-shaped foam and snap it into the plastic fairing that’s pre-bonded to the inner core of the foam.
