Investing in your health is just that- an investment.

But I don’t believe it has to be expensive or

complicated. I’m here to show you how to get healthy

products into your home on a budget. Get the most

bang for your buck with these ideas and DIYs!

If you already have your kit, you know it’s the best deal and best way to get started with

Young Living! 12 oils, a diffuser, and samples for $165, that’s like $13 per oil and a free

diffuser!

But Young Living has so much to offer to help you get toxins out of your home and do it

without breaking the bank. Plus, it’s a one stop shop. Here are some hacks to get you started

and saving money.

The number one way to save money with Young Living is to be on Essential Rewards. You

get points for your purchases to spend on additional product. You get freebies. You get

discounted shipping and the option of pre-paid shipping. And you get gifts for your loyalty to

the program. It’s the best rewards program I’ve ever seen!

Essential Rewards is a monthly wellness box designed by you and delivered to your door. It’s

an awesome option for people who order products each month, like supplements, and for

anyone trying to switch out products to make their home healthier. The minimum order for

essential rewards is 50PV, which is about $50. When you note that the average family

spends close to $50 a month on cleaning and hygiene products anyway, it’s basically just

taking your dollars from the grocery store to Young Living (and getting some freebies!)

Kitchen Hacks

Thieves Household Cleaner is a safe cleaner for all the surfaces

in your kitchen. To mix it up as an all purpose cleaner, grab a

glass bottle and add 1 capful of Thieves per 8oz of water. For

more detailed dilution instructions, check the bottle! For floors,

mix a bucket of water with 1 cap of Thieves Cleaner and a few

squirts of Castile soap. Mop and scrub as needed. Thieves

Cleaner can also be used more concentrated for more cleaning

power.

Thieves Household Cleaner

First, Thieves Dish Soap is not going to get sudsy like the dish soap

you’re probably used to. “Sudsing” agents are usually synthetic and

aren’t good for us or the environment. You can add baking soda to your

Thieves Soap to make it last longer and give it more suds.

Pour ⅓ of the bottle of Thieves Dish Soap into a new container (or an

empty Thieves Dish Soap container). Add 1 tsp of baking soda. Fill the

rest of the bottle with filtered water. Shake well. You won’t need a lot to

wash dishes and get them clean!

Cooking with oils

One of my favorite money saving hacks in the kitchen is using

vitality oils in the place of flavorings I don’t have. Herbs, mint,

lemon juice, lime juice… one drop of oil will go a long way and will

give you the same flavor! Plus it’s cheaper if you only need the

herb for one dish and it’s one you don’t typically have on hand.

Laundry Hacks

Thieves Laundry Detergent is free of synthetics, fragrance, dyes, and a slew of other things

you’re probably trying to avoid if you’re low-toxing your home. Here’s how to make 1 bottle

last a lot longer:

Dryer Balls

Dryer balls cut the drying time of your clothes and with

just a few drops of oils, they infuse your clothes with a

fresh smell. Dryer sheets aren’t good for your clothes or

your dryer, and dryer balls are a great alternative!

Bathroom Hacks

Thieves cleaner can clean your whole bathroom! Mix it up as an

all-purpose cleaner (1 cap of cleaner per 16oz of water) to

clean your shower, mirrors, sinks, and faucets. To clean your

toilet: a splash of Thieves Cleaner in the bowl and let it sit for a

few minutes. Add a shake of baking soda for extra scrubbing

power and scrub the inside of the bowl. Wipe the rest down

with Thieves household cleaner. For the floors: mix a bucket

with hot water, 1 cap of Thieves Cleaner, and a few squirts of

Castile soap. Mop and scrub as needed.

DIY Room Spray

Room sprays are super easy to make and great to keep in the

bathroom. Here’s a easy DIY spray:

1 4oz spray bottle

10 drops of Lemon Essential Oil

10 drops of Peppermint Essential Oil

1 tsp of witch hazel (optional)

Water

In the glass spray bottle, desired essential oils and optional witch hazel.

Top with filtered water. Spray away!

Make your bathroom a spa

Just a coupe drops of Peppermint Essential Oil or Raven

Essential oil into your shower will make your whole bathroom

feel like a spa. A cup of Epsom salts infused with a few drops of

Lavender Essential Oil and Frankincense Essential Oil in your

bath will relax you and help your body detox.

Budgeting Tips

1. Take baby steps! You don’t have to replace everything at once, especially if you can’t

afford it. It’s taken us over a year to replace all the things I had on my list.

2. Dilute when you can! Young Living products are almost all super concentrated and can

be easily diluted to stretch them out. The personal care products I use from Young Living

last months and months because I either only need a tiny amount or I can dilute them.

3. Dilute oils too! Even if an oil is safe to use straight on my skin, I still dilute. They last way

longer that way.

4. Know your vision. Do you dream of a healthy home? Write it down. Write down your

vision for your home and your budget to get there! It’s easier to stick with something if

you have a vision and a purpose. And I promise you, lowering chemical exposure is not

just a fad. More and more research (that probably should have been done up front) is

coming out about the dangers of many chemicals we’re exposed to every day.

5 Essential Rewards! Especially if you want to replace a lot of products. Pick a monthly

budget (the minimum monthly ER order is about $50) and start switching things out 1

by 1. Your toothpaste runs out, grab some Thieves toothpaste. Your mascara runs out,

grab Young Living’s. Baby steps. I can even help you make a plan.

6. DIY. Make your own things! You can save so much money with DIY hand soap or

facewash. You can add oils to your lotion. You can make your own chapstick! So many

fun options if you’re a diy-er.
