1.  Current estimates of a deficit of between 7mm and 10mm units of low cost housing in Brasil

2.  The initial phase of “Minha Casa, Minha Vida” (My House – My Life) (Federal Government-initiated program) will require over one million low-cost (“popular”) houses be built over 3 years – impossible task without high-volume manufactured building systems

3.  Units Size – approximately 37 sq. m. – single and multi-family

4.  Average selling price of R$34K (appox. US$21K) per unit 5.  Building Location – throughout Brazil– some in remote

regions (NE/SE and rural areas – making the building difficult without new “manufactured housing” systems and a rapid construction period)

Many of the buildings (housing, schools, shopping, light industrial) are needed in remote areas where traditional building methods are expensive, slow and unreliable

New building methods and materials are needed to combat extreme weather and nature (insects, mold, mildew)

Remote locations with undesirable building conditions no longer need to accept low-quality housing and building systems
