Problems caused by stormwater

• Irregular flow patterns and unnatural flooding in streams and rivers– Stream bank erosion

• Thermal pollution (temperature spikes)• EPA estimates 50-70% of surface water

pollution is carried by stormwater runoff• Lawn/fertilizer nutrients
