Man’s love for God is not simply a feeling.

Love is a command

“For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.” 1 John 5:3

Love = total surrender to Him

Does not sin habitually – 1 John 3:9

Love for God = obeying commandsCommand = love one another

“Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.” Matthew 7:12

“For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.” Gal. 5:14

1 John 2:9-11 Passed from darkness to light
