Social groups

My magazine isn't really aimed at a particular social group just a general magazine. This is because I think there are to many magazines aimed at one niche group.

COVER

The cover I am quite proud of because I spent a lot of time on this although it could be improved a lot. I feel the colours work well with the background of the photograph and it works nicely together., The name I have chosen to use for my magazine I am very proud of because it keeps the music theme by using the F# motif this is a musical term but doesn’t seem to subject specific to a certain type of music.

Contents

The contents isn't very bold at all and doesn’t complement to rest of the magazine, although it does include original photos but this is a very hard page to do.

Audience

•My audience is generally a younger audience my kind of age group I don’t feel there is enough of this type of magazine out there. The audience would be attracted by the cover and the different feel it has about it.

Double page

My Double page is a interview with a band I saw on the television although I have changed the names of the band members to make it less of a copy. I tried to keep the typical interview structure by asking very different and personal questions, as if it was a normal conversation. Because conversations aren't usually recorded. This makes it quite unsponatanous but keeps the conversation realistic. The language used is quite a formal register but using colloquial language too. Its has a interview structure with the questions being in bold and answers underneath and holding onto the magazine layout by using columns. The headline crosses over both pages and would appeal to the audience as they flick through the magazine. If I was to improve this page I would fill it out more by using a lot more images and maybe more questions but it is a good starting point.

Finally…

• Overall I am pleased with the outcome of my magazine although I did find it a hard task to do because I really don’t read this type of magazine because I prefer fashion magazines. I am pleased with the outcome of the front cover the most because I spent a lot of time on it and really tried my best. If I was to do this again I would spend more time looking at research in to it seeing as I don’t really know a lot about this area.
