On Monday, November 3, Madame Jesella, the French teacher for team 362, took Sarah Johnson, Amanda Stickney, Kevin Jopp, Blessing Sawmmal, Melissa Scoma, and us, Tara MacAuley and Danielle Small to Tops International for a French Cooking Class for International French Week. Students interested in going let Mrs. Jesella know by writing their names on a piece of paper and then putting their name in a paper bag. We were

there for about 45 minutes learning about French cuisine. There was a professional chef who made three dishes for us. The first dish the chef made for us was Potage Crecy which is a creamy carrot soup. The

second dish he made was Quiche Lorraine, which is similar to a pie with eggs, bacon and Swiss cheese. The last dish was a dessert called Tarte au Sucre Quebecoise, which is Quebec Maple Sugar Pie. Our favorite was the Quebec Maple Sugar Pie. It was very much like a pecan pie. There were also students from other schools. One of the schools was Kenmore West. We all had a really great time and enjoyed all of the food. Even the appetizer was delicious, which was a piece of French bread with brie cheese and jam on top. C’est délicieux!
