CT5ANIGP - Lost My Name - My Contributions For our final animation, I animated everything between Frame 1262 and Frame 1995. I modelled the Hippo Character using edited designs created by Lily Burton.

Using Lily's designs as a base, I made a second turnaround for my own personal reference Along with Modelling the Hippo Character, I also paint/skin weighted and rigged the model to use for our animation.

During our drafting phase, I assisted Lily by animating the Hippo during roughly the first 15 seconds of animation. As I was the group Modeller, I also created some very simple environments and objects that could be used as a low poly base.

Some basic 3D Environments Along with the rest of the group, I took reference photos of a Hippo during a Visit to the Natural History Museum.

When rigging the Hippo Model, I ran into many problems due to the high poly count, because of this, paint weighting took many hours to complete. This also meant the model couldn't be stretched too much or it would cause distortion.

Animating the Hippo was difficult, but I found animating the Boy Model we were provided with to be much more enjoyable. I felt because of this, my input to our final animation looked very professional.

I also provided some voice work for the Hippo itself! I created a small animation to test the boy's rig before we began our real animation.
