LOSING TOUCH – THE KILLERS.THE KILLERS ARE AN AMERICAN ROCK BAND BASED IN LAS VEGAS WHICH WERE FORMED IN 2001. THEY CONSIST OF BRANDON FLOWERS (MAIN SINGER), DAVE KEUNING (GUITAR), MARK STOERMER (BASS) AND RONNIE VANNUCCI JR (DRUMS). THEY HAVE RELEASED THREE ALBUMS TO DATE WHICH ARE HOT FUSS, SAMS TOWN AND DAY AND AGE. THERE ALBUM SALES TOP 15 MILLION WORLDWIDE.

The Lyrics.

- Showing that the main character is in a dark time of his life because of some rumours being spread around.

- However he seems to be slightly sarcastic about it because after every chorus he says the rumours ‘must be true’ even though just before that he says ‘fill their heads with rumours of impending doom’.

- These lines have a slightly religious twist to them. ‘Console me in my darkest hour’ – talking about god helping him when he is at his lowest.

- ‘Ghost you cast away’ and ‘ You sold your soul’ all make you think that he is talking about the devil whereas he is talking about whoever is spreading these rumours.

Narrative Ideas • Somebody he use to trust is now spreading rumours about. • Everyone seems to believe this person instead of believing our main

character.• We wanted to show this by having at the beginning everything is all normal

colour however as the music video goes on people start becoming black and white (meaning that they know the rumour - ‘the truth is always grey’).

• By the end of the music video everything should be grey scale including the performance and the only bit of colour will be our lead singer/main character so that it gives a Schindler’s List effect.

Performance Ideas • Performance will be outside in a field (long grass etc) • Sunset background• We will record the performance scene first so that we can still use the sunset etc.• We will have four members in the band to match the killers

corner of a dark room looking up to the camera, looking slightly lost.

• Master shot of the band on the field with the sunset in the background.

• Not over the shoulder but like looking past the legs of main character who is staring at a busy town all in grey scale.
