Public Speaking We had 8 public speakers who vied for a
position in the upcoming Rostrum Public
Speaking competition.
Kiana spoke about how the world is drowning
in Coca Cola, Temperance told us why
Mondays should be banned, Chris, Taylah,
Mitchell and Josh all wanted to have
superpowers and Alannah decided that if she
could be anyone in the world that she would
like to be herself.
Our school representative next Tuesday
evening is Abbie who argued ‘Why and Why
not Mondays should be banned’.
Congratulations to Abbie and good luck next
week.
If anyone would like to see Abbie give her
speech next week the Rostrum Public
Speaking Competition will take place in our
School Hall at 7:00pm next Tuesday 25th
August 2015.
The Talent show is fast approaching so get
your acts prepared and ready for a fun filled
day with all different kinds of talent to be
displayed. We are so excited and can’t wait for
the action!
This term 3B have been looking at
Aboriginal Dreaming stories and symbols
used in Aboriginal paintings. For our
assembly item we retold the local Dreaming
Story of how the Wombeyan Caves and
Wollondilly River were created by
Gurangatch and Mirrigan. The students
wrote a script and came up with actions for
our actors. The rest of the class interpreted
the story using tapping sticks.
