Lopito is a 100% owned agency in Puerto Rico.

Lopito has been working in the Caribbean region for more than 40 years. Lopito’s clients include:

Therefore, Lopito had to develop a new and fully functional Intranet site in order to manage the agency’s continues growth

A multidisciplinary team (Planning, IT, Accounts and Digital) developed the Specification Charter that outlined the Intranet functionalities

The Development Team led by Enrique (Quique) Ballesté needed to identify the right CMS, considering:

1.- Open Source: because of the flexibility and…we just love open source

2.- Customization: As an agency, our requirements go beyond just “creating, deleting, editing and organizing pages”

3.- Price: Lopito needed flexibility on the Intranet investment so the approach was: launch fast and cheap but update frequently (according to needs)

The Team chose: Concrete5

Concrete5 is Free and Open Source (FOSS) under the MIT software license. This protects Concrete5 liability but lets developers do anything they want

One of the characteristics that we really like of Concrete5, it was the ability to use Themes and Add-ons. Those are available for free and for cost, giving us the flexibility to choose and match according our needs and budget
