Loomis Chaffee Summer Program Loomis Chaffee School 4 Batchelder Road Windsor, CT 06095 860-687-6355 www.loomischaffee.org/summerprograms Loomis Chaffee Summer Program (LC SP) students learn and live on the school’s beautiful 300-acre campus in historic Windsor, Connecticut. They have complete access to the wonderful academic facilities and athletic complexes. Faculty includes some of the current Loomis Chaffee teaching community as well as other secondary school and college teachers. Taking a cue from the full-year school, the Summer Program pledges to engage, care for, listen to and invigorate every student enrolled in the program. The five-week program will run from June 27-August 1 for students entering grades 7-12. Students will enjoy a hands-on experience in our classrooms, labs, dance and art studios as they pursue opportunities for learning and discovery in a variety of course offerings. The LC SP encourages the exploration of both familiar and new subject matters in an atmosphere that inspires academic engagement, enrichment and growth. Each student must take one of his or her three courses from our slate of writing courses. Outside of the classroom, students engage in daily recreational activities, have access to college guidance counseling and participate in on- and off-campus activities. Weekend excursions include travel to local destinations including Boston, New York City, Mystic and the Rhode Island shore. The LC SP promises to provide an environment that combines the wonders of summer with the joys of learning.
