Christ’s Birthday Observance Please pick up your copy of the 2015 Christ’s Birthday Advent Devotional in the front lobby. This is a gift to you from the Yankee Road First Church of God. Next Sunday, December 13th, a Christ’s Birthday Offering envelope will be attached to the bulletin, then on Sunday, December 20th, the offerings will be collected. This tradition began in 1949 and the Church of God still carries on this important tradition today. The money collected touches nearly every ministry in the Church of God.

Christmas Cards for the Congregation: The congregation mailboxes are located by the front west entrance and are alphabetically grouped. The slots are rather small, so you may want to take this into consideration when choosing your cards. Also, try to remember to check for your cards each week as the slots soon fill up. Please be sure to include the last name on the envelope so it gets to the right person.

MARK YOUR CALENDAR

The Small Group Class on Sunday evenings (led by Joyce and Pastor Collins) will be breaking for the holiday season but will resume on Sunday, January 10th.

SHALOM MINISTRY FOR THE HOMELESS As in previous years, our church will be hosting the homeless the week of December 13th. Please be in prayer about what you can do to participate in this program. Lots of volunteers are needed (a sign-up sheet is in the lobby). What a great way to give of your time to help those less fortunate!!

Thank you to the volunteers in our congregation who have spent so much time and effort in making our sanctuary beautiful for this holiday season. Your dedication and hard work is so much appreciated!!
